I was involved in experimental pavilion project aiming at utilizing digital technology in the construction by Digital Fabrication Lab (DFL) at the University of Tokyo. In DFL, the role of digital technology is not only to improve the efficiency of design and construction, but the act itself of making it through the intermediacy of digital technology itself becomes the design process, the possibility that the variation that humans collect as a whole can be organically expressed as a building we focus on.

This project PAFF is an architecture built by the sense of ears. While listening to the sound guide, the worker sensed the spatial spread and the depth and challenged the construction system to blow away the textile material to the target. Focusing on the individual differences that appear in the process of trying to recognize the world of sounds three-dimensionally, we aim at a building that can overlap. I adopted a virtual reality position tracking system which became less expensive and easier to handle in recent years as a technology to realize construction as a process to enjoy the personality and diversity of humans and uncertainty of human beings. This time I participated as an engineer is in charge of building that technology and approached from the technical side to the requirement definition etc.
